D. Hvorostovsky with Baltic Symphony Orchestra


Dmitri Hvorostovsky is one of the most needed and highly paid opera singers in the world. Wherever he performs it always difficult to get tickets to his show. Indeed, Dmitri Hvorostovsky is singing!

On 6th of December the world superstar of opera stage will open a door to the rich world of classical music for Saint Petersburg again. On the stage of BKZ Oktyabrsky Dmitri Hvorostovsky in collaboration with Italian tenor Marcello Giordani and The Baltic Symphony Orchestra introduced one more concert from “Hvorostovsky and friends” cycle. The unique project “Hvorostovsky and friends” firstly introduced in 2006 was created to familiarize opera’s fans with the world stars whose names are little known to the Russian audience. Every year Dmitri Hvorostovsky gives Saint Petersburg a chance to enjoy world-famous opera arias performed by the best voices of the world opera and Dmitri Hvorostovsky himself, indeed. Thanks to the “Hvorostovsky and friends” cycle Petersburg has already acquainted with talents of such singers as Renée Fleming, Sumi Jo, Catherine Syurina, and Charles Castronovo.
On 6th of December Hvorostovsky performed with Marcello Giordani.

Constantine Orbelian is a pianist, conductor, Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation. The first of September 2011, by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, an order of friendship was given to Constantine Orbelian for contribution to popularization of classical music and development of cultural relations between the Russian Federation and the USA. Maestro Orbelian was initiator of the famous concert of wartime songs with the participation of D. Hvorostovsky on the Red Square, TV version of which an audience of 25 countries of the world could watch. In 2011 maestro repeatedly conducted the Baltic Symphony Orchestra during the concerts with the outstanding opera soloists.
